Hiiragi Fukuda - Personal Server (CS)

More gold from Mr. Fukuda! A collection of home recorded solo guitar pieces (or Guitar Diary as Hiiragi puts it). Very raw and sparse but with all the power and emotional weight that those in the know have come so expect from Hiiragi. Lucky for us he has had new releases coming more frequently including a re-release of the Seacide tape on LP from Trouble In Mind and a fresh new 7" of My Turntable is Sloow outtakes that Selection brought to you in conjunction with the legendary Holy Mountain label.
Personal Server was meant as a palate cleanser for an upcoming brand new solo LP! More news on that as it is revealed. Perfect vibes for a late dark night.

Price: $7.00

Sadahiro Yamada - May Rock N’ Roller Be In The World (CS)

A quick follow up to last years underground (far, underground) favorite, OK To Exist Doing Nothing. This time out it's just Yamada on Vox and Guitars, our man in Japan Hiiragi Fukuda on Bass and Synth accompanied by Mr. Rhythm Box, a Roland TR-33. Hypnotic boogies from space, spare and raw! A different vein than OK, but deeply satisfying.
Expect more from Yamada in the future!!! Let's all feast on this first.

Price: $6.00

Robert Scott - The Professor And The Team (CS)

Selection is beyond ecstatic to present an archival release from our hero, Mr. Robert Scott!!!
Legendary member of both the CLEAN and the BATS, Bob has always kept himself busy at home recording constantly.
Many songs never make it to either of his more well known groups, some emerge under the name ELECTRIC BLOOD or as CDr's under his own name.
What we have here is a collection of songs recorded at home in Dunedin in the summer of 1988.
1988!!! the year of The Law Of Things, also he was getting ready for the 1st Clean LP Vehicle.
Lo-fidelity as you would expect and demand. VERY excited to be working with Bob on this archeology.
Expect a collection of Electric Blood early recordings from Selection later this year!

Price: $6.00

Man's Assassination Man - The Big One (CS)

Selection is psyched to bring you this modern classic of L.A. punk on a modern cassette!
Already gone, but never to be forgotten. Man's Ass (as they preferred to be called) tore up stages, money and relationships across southern California for years before they died and went to heaven.
The members collective pedigree includes time in acts like Residual Echoes, The Mae Shi, Of Aire, Devon Williams and Thelonius fucking Monster.
For fans of the Flesh Eaters, Fear, Royal Trux, Drinking, Ditchweed and Taco Zone.

“Man’s Assassination, Man is a rock group from Los Angeles, CA that set out to free themselves from all rock illusion and cliche and they failed completely.

Man’s Ass, as their friends and fans lazily refer to them, formed out of the pleasure of writing and performing music that they actually enjoyed, which is a rare thing for people to do in Los Angeles. Sure, the riffs are rocking and the grooves are bopping, but there is something inherently sinister in the execution that can’t help but reflect the embarrassing nihilism and childishly bad attitudes of the band members. It could be described as some kind of bummer boogie rock, like Van Halen on bathtub drugs. The music is an involuntary reaction to the conformist nightmare of success and douchery that dominates LA life across the board. Taking inspiration from weirdo hippie SST punk, the metallic negativity of Fear and Flipper, the anguished poetry and vision of Chris D and the Flesh Eaters, the rawk experimentalism of Hagerty and Herrema, and the pure freedom and joy of classic boner rock, the band would became more known for being drunk and talking too much between songs.

They played their first show together in 2008 at the now defunct Echo Curio and have since gone on to perform before numerous hostile audiences, opening for the likes of Jad Fair, The Urinals, Abe Vigoda, Plastic Crimewave, and Andrew WK. The band members themselves have been rocking for many years in many other groups and collaborations, such as Residual Echoes, The Mae Shi, Of Aire, Devon Williams, even Thelonius Monster.
Paloma Parfrey of The Sharp Ease and Precious Medals gifted the band with her vocal presence on the album, which was recorded in two days at Mix LA by the talented Andrew Schubert, who is also the proprietor of Ghostbot Records. The Big One is their first and only album. The title is a reference to many things, from the earthquake in Robert Altman’s “Short Cuts,” Redd Fox, Aerosmith and genitals in general.” - Ghostbot

Yuka Ijichi - Peanuts Butter (Revisited) (CS)

Rainy day dream music, simple and beautiful. Tokyo's Yuka Ijichi stuns us all with this debut.
Acoustic freakouts saddled up next to quiet drones accented with heavy psych leads.
All vocals by Yuka Ijichi, Guitars by Hiiragi Fukuda and Kiyohiro Takada (Les Rallizes Denudes)
Originally issued in Belgium on the brilliant Sloow Tapes label in 2010 in an edition of 90 copies.
Snapped up instantly upon original release by those in the know (all 90 of them), Selection is proud to offer this (once again) limited revisitation of this masterpiece.
We're thrilled to bring this jewel to all lovers in the USA.
A song was dropped, but a new one added! Thus this is truly a revisitation and not a straight reissue.
150 copies on royal blue shells for a new world.

Residual Echoes - Incredible Feets (CS)

Residual Echoes have been spending the last few years at home,
woodshedding and getting way out in the inner mind.
Selection is damn proud to have the fruits of this fertile period to see the light.
6 tracks (56 mins!) of sun drenched, fuzzed out guitar mauraudings
that venture between paranoid and aggro to peaceful and even sweet.
Primitive beats keep up most of the time.
Recorded at home in early 2012 this is the first full length Residual
Echoes release in two years.
Selection will also be releasing a new solo LP from Adam Payne (that's
MR. Residual Echoes to you!) Early 2013.

Price: $6.00

Bill Nehill - 2 Rose And Protection (CS)

Fresh on Selection! We're psyched to be bringing this to light!
Emotional and raw debut cassette from this shadowy Western New York underground fixture.
Bill's notorious performances have swung between beautiful and unnerving in recent years.
This tape manages to capture the agony and the ecstasy of those shows.
All acoustic breakdown (in more ways than one!) Not for the faint of heart or easily bummed out.
Limited in intention and edition, 100 copies.
